Also referred to as
the Kansai region, Kinki is home to some of the most historical
places in Japan. It consists of 7 prefectures; Hyogo, Kyoto,
Shiga, Osaka, Nara,
Mie and Wakayama.
Places to visit:
Nara - The site of the first capital of Japan. Famous
for its many historical treasures (including the Todai-ji)
and deer that linger freely around the temples this city
has a tranquil quality about it.
