About Yokohama...

This may
be Japan's second largest city, but the atmosphere could not
be more different than that of
Tokyo.
Perhaps due to the low-rise skyline and it's location just by
the sea, Yokohama has a very spacious, unrestrained air about
it.
Having been a major port for centuries, it is also one of Japan's
most cosmopolitan cities with European, Chinese and Asian influences.
Places to visit:
Landmark Tower
- At a massive 296 metres high, this is the highest building
in Japan. The height of this building is emphasized by the
relatively small buildings that surround it and it also has
the second fastest elevator in the world. When weather permits
one can see the city of Tokyo and Mt. Fuji Minato Mirai -
Translates as 'harbour of the future'. There is a certain
serenity to the area and is home to the aforementioned Landmark
Tower.
Along with the tower, the nearby Ferris wheel belonging to
'Yokohama Cosmo World' amusement park completes a quaint picture
that only the Japanese could engineer.
