Take in Kyoto Imperial Palace, home to the Emperor until 1869.

- The tour finishes at the Handicraft Center, with transport back to guests' hotels provided by the Handicraft Center. Buses to major hotels depart every hour on the hour from 1pm until 3pm and upon request after that.
- Guest joining the Kyoto afternoon or Nara afternoon tours should transfer at the Handicraft Center.
- To enter the Kyoto Imperial Palace, it is necessary to record your name, sex, age and nationality on forms provided on the day.

Visit some of Kyoto's
most sublime landmarks! Walk through Sanjusangendo
Temple, Japan's longest wooden structure,
which is famous for its 1,001 human-sized Kannon
statues. Browse through specialty shops on the way
up to Kiyomizudera Temple,
from which you can get a sweeping view of the city.
Visit Heian Jingu Shrine,
a partial replica of the Imperial Palace, built
to commemorate the 1,100th anniversary of the Heian
Period. |

Nara Afternoon Tour

Visit the Todaiji Temple, reputedly the worlds largest wooden building and home to the Great Buddha. Stop at Nara Park where deer roam free. These deer are considered sacred and thought to be messangers of Gods in Shinto. Conclude your tour at the Kasuga Shine where the interior is famous for its many bronze lanterns, as well as the many stone lanterns that lead up the shrine. |

the Sagano Bamboo Grove, visiting the Jojakko-ji Temple, named as such for it's beautiful surroundings and meaning 'The Everlasting Pure Land', then on to Tenryuji which is held in high esteem and is considered the finest Zen temple in Kyoto. Marvel at Togetsu Bridge, Sagano-Arashiyama's
