This 1-day guided tour from Tokyo takes you to some of Nikko's most popular sightseeing spots like World Heritage-registered Toshogu Shrine and the beautiful Kirifuri Falls.
9:00 a.m.
Depart Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal to visit the following by bus.

Nikko Toshogu Shrine (100 min)
Tour UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its lavish decorations, ornate details, and five structures categorized as National Treasures of Japan, and an additional three categorized as Important Cultural Properties. This shrine houses the remains of Edo period's founder, Tokugawa Ieyasu.
Lunch
Enjoy a Japanese-style meal.
Tamozawa Imperial Villa (60 min)
View refined architecture that spans the three different periods of Edo, Meiji, and Taisho. Former Emperors and royal family have used this villa as their residence, which is now the only remaining Imperial residence of the Meiji era.
Kirifuri Falls (30 min)
Climb an observatory deck located directly in front of one of Nikko's three famous waterfalls, from which the entire 75 m (264 ft) can be viewed at a glance.
6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Arrive at Shinjuku.
7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Arrive at Ginza. Free dismissal either location. Tour concludes apon arrival.

Rinnoji Temple Treasure Hall & Shoyo-en
The Tamozawa Imperial Villa is closed, so the tour will instead visit Rinnoji Temple's Treasure Hall, which houses over 1200 years of Nikko history, and Shoyo-en, a peaceful Japanese garden

Remarks
1. On days that the Tamozawa Imperial Villa is closed, the Rinnoji Temple Treasure Hall and Shoyo-en Garden will be visited instead. On days that these places are also closed, the Toshogu Shrine Treasure Hall will be substituted.
2. There may be cases besides those listed above when places visited on the tour are substituted due to operational concerns such as heavy traffic. In such cases, no refunds will be made.
3. The temperature in Nikko is typically lower than that in Tokyo. Please bring a coat and/or other appropriate clothing when participating in this tour from fall to spring.
4. This tour will involve a fair amount of walking including hills and stairs, especially at Toshogu Shrine and Kirifuri Falls, so please wear comfortable footwear.
5. As this tour will travel by bus, there may be times when arrival is delayed by heavy traffic.
6. Earphone guides can be used at Nikko Toshogu Shrine, but there may be cases when they are not used if the number of participants does not exceed 15.
7. A fee of JPY 10,000 may be incurred if an earphone guide is lost or damaged.
8. This plan includes lunch. If you would like the plan which does NOT include lunch, please contact us.
9. If the minimum number of participants required to operate the tour is not achieved by 4 days prior to the departure date, the tour may be cancelled. In such a case, you will be contacted, and the tour fare will be refunded.
10. Please note that due to repair and restoration work, part or all of Toshogu Shrine's Yomeimon Gate (pictured above) may not be visible.
