| What
is Reiki? |

Dr Mikao Usui |
Reiki is a form of
spiritual practice and a technique used for relaxation
and healing developed by Dr Mikao Usui in the mid 20th
century Japan. The name 'Reiki' is derived from two Japanese
characters :"rei" (meaning God's widsom or the
higher power) and "ki" (meaning life force energy).
Dr Mikao Usui said he received
the ability of healing without energy depletion after
three weeks of fasting and meditating on Mount Kurama.
Reiki practitioners use "laying on hands" technique
which channels the healing energy "ki" for the
treatment of physical, emotional and mental diseases. |

| Who is
Himuka-sensei? |

Himuka sensei |
| After 20 years of
learning various hand healing techniques, Himuka-sensei
was accorded the honour of practising as a Reiki Master
in 2004. Even though her history as a Reiki master is
short, her career as a hand healer is quite long. She
has helped many people through Reiki Worldwide. Now her
students know her only by word-of-mouth in Japan. Since
2007, she has opened her doors to foreigners to convey
the true heart of Dr Mikao Usui
, the founder of Reiki. |
