Before Departure
Your tickets and final itinerary will be delivered at least one day before departure to the address you provided for this purpose when booking.
6:00 - 6:30 a.m.
Board train to Kyoto from Tokyo Station. Visit the following by bus.
*Report at least 10 minutes prior to departure.
Nijo Castle (50 min)
Tour the historical castle completed in 1626 built to provide lodging for Tokugawa Shogun and as a palladium for Kyoto Imperial Palace.
Kinkakuji Temple (45 min)
Visit the Golden Pavillion, designated as a National Special Historic Site and National Special Landscape, with 2 floors covered entirely in thin layers of pure gold and detailed architecture incorporating three distinct styles of shinden, samurai, and Zen.
Kyoto Imperial Palace (40 min)
Gain exclusive access to the former residence of the Emperor of Japan, which oversaw many important functions until the capital was moved to Tokyo in 1869.

Arrive back at Kyoto Station. Free time until departure.
8:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Board the Nozomi bullet train (145 min).
10:30 - 11:20 p.m.
Pass through Shin-Yokohama and Shinagawa Station and arrive at Tokyo Station. Disembark at station of choice. Tour concludes upon arrival.
10:50 - 11:20 p.m.
Tour disbands at Tokyo Station. You may also alight at Shin-Yokohama or Shinagawa.

Baggage
Baggage carriage is not included. Please carry your baggage on your own. However, trains do not have areas for storing large pieces of baggage. We recommend leaving large pieces of baggage at your hotel while you travel by train.

Remarks
1. Guide service is only provided during the morning tour portion of the package.
2. On Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays, Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed. On these days, the tour will visit an alternative destination (typically Kitano-tenmangu Shrine). The same is true of the period before and after the public viewing of the Kyoto Imperial Palace in April and October, May 14 - 17 due to the Aoi Festival, and whenever there is an Imperial Household event. On May 25 and Aug. 25, Nishi Honganji Temple will be the alternative.
3. On Tuesdays (Wednesday if Tuesday is a national holiday) in January, July, August, and December and over the year-end New Year's holidays, Nijo Castle is closed. The tour will visit Ryoanji Temple or Daitokuji Daisen-in Temple instead.
4. Please note that you will be asked to complete a form indicating your full name, nationality, gender, and age before entering Kyoto Imperial Palace.
5. Please provide advance notice if your group consists of five or more Japanese citizens. If you do not inform us of this information in advance, your party may be denied entry to Kyoto Imperial Palace.
6. Only the transportation and accommodations described in the itinerary are included. All other transportation or services must be arranged and paid for separately by the customer
7. This is an exclusive package for foreign tourists and cannot be purchased by residents of Japan alone. However two residents per one non-resident may join. Residents of Japan wishing to purchase this package are asked to contact Sunrise Tours by phone (03-5796-5454).
8. Requests for specific departure/arrival times or seating cannot be accepted. Tickets will be issued as stated in the itinerary.
9. Actual train number, departure time, and seat assignment will be provided by the day before departure. Tickets cannot be exchanged.
10. Please provide information about accommodations in Japan directly before this package. Tickets and final itinerary will be delivered to the address provided. As tickets are delivered before departure, it is usually not possible to use this package on the same day as arrival in Japan.
11. Tickets will not be reissued or refunded if lost after receipt. If lost, replacing tickets will be the responsibility of the customer.
12.Actual bullet train times may vary due to train schedule adjustments.
13. If mailing address changes after booking, please notify by 8 days before departure.
14. If cancelling after receiving tickets, the unused tickets must be returned to Sunrise Center.
